Fensory vs TradeStation MCP

TradeStation MCP connects a paid Claude or ChatGPT account to a conventional brokerage account and requires at least $10,000 in eligible account equity. Fensory connects supported assistants to Hyperliquid spot and perpetual futures through a Swiss account for eligible non-US users, with tokenized assets kept on the separate app surface.

TradeStation requires a person to confirm every order. Fensory can execute an allowed order without a per-order click after the client sends it, while the account checks the market allow-list, per-order cap, access expiry and kill-switch. The products therefore make different choices about where control lives.

Every cell was checked against first-party documentation, governing terms or regulator material on 2026-10-18, never on a directory listing or another comparison. Fensory publishes this page and appears in the table.

Where it is stronger

Specific rather than generous. A comparison that cannot name what the other product does better has not understood it.

  • TradeStation MCP

TradeStation is stronger for an eligible customer who wants real listed securities, exchange-traded futures and options inside an established brokerage account. Its confirmation is enforced in the product flow before every order, and access inherits the account permissions and risk controls already attached to that brokerage relationship. It also gives a futures trader one account for equities, options, futures and futures options, which Fensory does not reproduce through MCP.

What connecting actually involves

  • TradeStation MCP

Open or use an eligible TradeStation account, maintain the documented minimum balance, request MCP access in the TradeStation HUB and connect Claude Pro or an eligible paid ChatGPT plan through OAuth. The assistant can read market and account data, prepare an order and send it only after the user confirms the specific action. Market-data subscriptions and ordinary brokerage costs may still apply.

  • Fensory

Connect the remote Fensory endpoint through OAuth, fund the supported account path and configure the market allow-list, per-order cap, access expiry and kill-switch in the app. The assistant can inspect account state and supported markets before it prepares an order. Tokenized equities and treasuries visible in the app remain separate from the current MCP execution path.

Where Fensory differs

Fensory is built for eligible users outside the United States and exposes crypto spot plus perpetual futures, including supported stock-named and commodity-named contracts. Those contracts are derivatives. They are not shares, futures listed on a regulated US exchange or tokenized equities.

The Fensory boundary is configurable at the account layer. The user can restrict the markets an assistant may reach, cap one order, set an access expiry and stop agentic trading. The cap applies to each order rather than a day or a total loss, so it is not a substitute for supervision.

TradeStation keeps a human approval between every proposed order and submission. Fensory supports client instructions asking for confirmation, but that instruction is not the same as an account-enforced approval. A reader who requires a mandatory click on every order should prefer TradeStation.

Which one is for you

  • You want real US stocks, listed options or exchange-traded futures

TradeStation. Its brokerage account and market coverage are the deciding facts.

  • You require a product-enforced confirmation before every order

TradeStation. Its MCP flow documents that confirmation as mandatory.

  • You are an eligible non-US user focused on Hyperliquid markets

Fensory. It provides hosted access without a $10,000 published minimum.

  • You want account-level market and order restrictions

Fensory. Its allow-list, per-order cap, access expiry and kill-switch are the more specific controls.

Questions people ask

Does TradeStation MCP place trades?
Yes. It can send an order after the user explicitly confirms it, subject to the brokerage account’s permissions and risk controls.
Does TradeStation MCP require $10,000?
TradeStation’s current consumer MCP page states that eligible access requires a minimum account balance of $10,000.
Does Fensory MCP trade real shares?
No. Stock-named markets on the current MCP path are perpetual futures. Tokenized equities shown in the app are a separate product path.
Which one works without an API key in the client?
Both use hosted OAuth connections. The reader signs in with the provider rather than pasting a brokerage or exchange API secret into the assistant.
Which one is available to US persons?
TradeStation serves eligible brokerage customers. Fensory is not available to US persons.
Do both products use OAuth?
Yes. Both use a hosted sign-in flow instead of asking the user to paste a brokerage or exchange secret into the assistant. OAuth simplifies credential handling, but it does not make the accounts or instruments equivalent.
Which product is better for futures trading?
TradeStation is the relevant choice for exchange-traded futures inside a conventional brokerage account. Fensory offers perpetual futures through Hyperliquid. Perpetual futures have no expiry and use funding, margin and liquidation mechanics, so the instrument should decide the comparison before the interface does.

How this was put together

TradeStation facts were checked against its consumer MCP page and its official 2026 connection guidance on 18 October 2026. The minimum balance, paid-client requirement, supported asset classes and explicit confirmation come from TradeStation rather than a directory listing.

The product rows are pulled from the same source objects used by the trading MCP roundup. A change to custody, execution, limits, assets or geography therefore changes the comparison rather than leaving two Fensory pages with different facts.

The page does not treat an equity perpetual future as a share or a listed futures contract. It also does not call one control model universally safer. Mandatory confirmation and account-level limits answer different failure modes.

Fensory publishes this comparison and sells one of the products. TradeStation receives the recommendation for listed securities, brokerage futures and mandatory per-order confirmation.
