What an agent can do, and what it cannot
An AI agent trading on Fensory can place orders and cannot move funds out. Fensory holds a scoped key that can sign trades only, and three controls are enforced on the account: a kill-switch, an allow-list of markets and a hard cap on any single order. Fensory AG is based in Switzerland. The service is not available to US persons.
Enforced on the account, not in the prompt
A limit written into a prompt is a request. Every order placed through Fensory passes the backend first, where the controls you set decide whether it is allowed to exist.
Three controls
Kill-switch
Switch agentic trading off in the app, and every trading tool starts failing immediately.
Enforced on: The account, not the conversation.
Market allow-list
The agent trades only the markets you have approved. Perpetual futures and spot are authorised separately, so enabling one does not enable the other.
Enforced on: The account. Markets outside the list are unreachable.
Per-order cap
A hard ceiling on the size of any single order. A $100 cap means no order is ever $101.
Enforced on: The account, checked before the order reaches a venue.
What the agent cannot do
- Withdraw, transfer or bridge funds. Fensory holds a scoped key that can sign trades only.
- Trade a market outside your allow-list.
- Place a single order above your per-order cap.
- Keep trading after you switch agentic trading off.
The cap is per order, not a limit on total losses. Orders inside your limits can still lose money, and perpetual futures can lose more than the margin committed.
Custody
- Your funds
- Stay in a wallet you control. Fensory never holds them.
- The agent key
- Signs trades only. Cannot withdraw, transfer or bridge funds.
- Key lifetime
- 180 days, then you re-approve it in the app.
- Tokens
- Settle on-chain to a wallet you control.
- Perpetual futures
- Settle on the venue, against margin you have posted.
- Deposits and withdrawals
- Transactions you sign yourself in the app.
Questions people ask
- Can the agent withdraw my funds?
- No. Fensory holds a scoped key that can sign trades only. It cannot withdraw, transfer or bridge funds. Deposits and withdrawals are transactions you sign yourself in the Fensory app.
- Where are the limits enforced?
- On the account. Every order passes the backend first, and an order outside your allow-list or above your per-order cap does not reach a venue. Nothing depends on the assistant reading, remembering or respecting an instruction.
- What happens if my assistant account is compromised?
- The account controls still apply, whatever the assistant is told. Whoever controls it could place orders in markets you approved and under your cap, and those orders can lose money. It cannot withdraw, transfer or bridge funds. Switch agentic trading off in the app to stop it.
- How long does the agent keep access?
- The agent trading key lasts 180 days, then you re-approve it in the app.
- Does Fensory hold my assets?
- No. Tokens settle on-chain to a wallet you control, and Fensory never holds them. Perpetual futures settle on the venue, against margin you have posted.
