Fensory vs Walnut
Walnut lets an assistant research a linked US brokerage account and draft an order, while the user confirms every trade in Walnut’s own dialog. Fensory can let a connected assistant execute supported Hyperliquid spot and perpetual-futures orders inside limits configured on the account.
Walnut’s strongest control is structural: the agent does not hold the final trigger. Fensory’s control model is designed for execution: market allow-list, per-order cap, access expiry and kill-switch. A reader should choose between mandatory human approval and bounded agent authority before comparing interface details.
Every cell was checked against first-party documentation, governing terms or regulator material on 2026-10-18, never on a directory listing or another comparison. Fensory publishes this page and appears in the table.
Side by side
| Product | Who holds the funds | What stops a bad order | What it trades | Where you can open it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| WalnutHuman-approved assistant across linked US broker accounts | Your existing broker. Walnut holds nothing | The human confirmation step. No cap or allow-list documented | US equities and ETFs through linked brokerage accounts | US brokerage accounts |
| FensoryOursHosted execution account for eligible non-US users | You. Tokens settle to a wallet you control, perp margin sits at the venue | a kill-switch, an access expiry, a market allow-list and a per-order cap, all enforced on the account. An order above the cap is rejected rather than trimmed | MCP: Hyperliquid spot and perpetual futures. App: tokenized US equities and treasuries, and gold | Not available to US persons |
Every row uses the same custody, control, asset and geography fields so the comparison stays aligned.

Where it is stronger
Specific rather than generous. A comparison that cannot name what the other product does better has not understood it.
Walnut
Walnut is stronger for a US investor who wants to keep assets at an existing broker and refuses to let an assistant submit any order without a separate click. Its value is the approval boundary, not unattended automation. The assistant can support research and prepare an order while brokerage custody and credentials remain outside Walnut. Fensory does not provide that mandatory human gate or a route to a conventional US brokerage share.
What connecting actually involves
Walnut
Link a supported US brokerage account through its authorization flow. The assistant can work from account and market context and prepare an equity or ETF order. Walnut then shows its own confirmation dialog. Nothing trades until the user approves that order, which also means a workflow cannot rebalance unattended while the user is away.
Fensory
Connect a verified assistant through the hosted OAuth endpoint and configure the market allow-list, per-order cap, access expiry and kill-switch. The assistant can read first, prepare the exact action and call the write tool if the client and account allow it. The user must still review the resulting order and fill state.
Where Fensory differs
Fensory gives the assistant execution tools. The account can reject a market outside the allow-list, an order above the cap, an action after access expiry or every write action after the kill-switch is used. Those controls bound authority but do not create Walnut’s per-order human approval.
Walnut links US brokerage accounts and focuses on equities and ETFs. Fensory is unavailable to US persons and its MCP path focuses on Hyperliquid spot and perpetual futures. Tokenized assets visible in the Fensory app are separate from that agent execution path.
The products therefore serve different operating preferences. Walnut is research and drafting with a person on the trigger. Fensory is agent execution inside an account boundary. Calling both “AI trading” without this distinction hides the decision that matters.
Which one is for you
You want a person to approve every single order
Walnut. The confirmation dialog is the core control and cannot be bypassed by the agent.
You want an assistant to execute while you are not clicking each order
Fensory, within the markets and limits the account permits.
You want real US equities in an existing broker account
Walnut. Fensory MCP does not buy a brokerage share.
You are an eligible non-US user focused on Hyperliquid markets
Fensory. Walnut’s documented account path is a US brokerage connection.
Questions people ask
- Can Walnut trade without asking me?
- No. Walnut documents a separate confirmation dialog for each order. The assistant drafts and the user approves.
- Does Walnut hold my funds?
- No. Funds remain at the linked brokerage, and Walnut states that brokerage credentials do not reach it.
- Can Fensory execute without a confirmation click?
- Yes, when a connected client calls an allowed write tool. Account controls still apply, but no mandatory product-level approval is claimed for every order.
- Which one is better for unattended workflows?
- Fensory provides execution authority inside configured limits. Walnut’s mandatory approval deliberately prevents an unattended order from completing.
- Which one is available to US persons?
- Walnut connects US brokerage accounts. Fensory is not available to US persons.
- Does Walnut hold the brokerage assets?
- No. The assets remain with the linked broker. That still makes the arrangement custodial at the brokerage level, even though Walnut itself does not hold the money. The distinction matters when comparing it with a wallet or a venue account.
- Can Walnut execute without the user confirming the order?
- No. Walnut documents a confirmation step in its own interface before an order is sent. That makes it suitable for someone who wants the assistant to prepare a trade but does not want a linked brokerage order submitted without a person reviewing it.
- Which product works with an existing US brokerage account?
- Walnut is the relevant option because it connects to supported existing brokers and keeps a person in the order-confirmation step. Fensory uses its own eligible non-US account and reaches a different set of spot and perpetual-futures instruments.
How this was put together
Walnut facts were checked against its official product page on 18 October 2026. The page does not describe the human click as a weakness. It is Walnut’s clearest product-level control and the main reason some readers should choose it.
The comparison row is pulled from the trading MCP roundup. Custody, execution, assets, geography and limits therefore have one source object across both pages.
No claim is made that an account cap replaces human review. A per-order cap limits one order and can coexist with repeated orders, market loss, slippage or liquidation.
Fensory publishes this page. Walnut receives the recommendation for existing US brokerage accounts and mandatory approval on every order.
