Ondo vs xStocks vs Dinari: how tokenized stock issuers differ

Ondo Global Markets and xStocks are non-US tokenized-stock programmes that exclude US persons. Dinari uses a US-facing broker-dealer and KYC-gated wallet structure that can reach eligible US buyers as well as other jurisdictions. That eligibility split is the first decision.

The second is distribution. Among these three issuers, xStocks publishes the largest catalogue and the most named chains, with the same issuer tokens available through several exchanges or a self-custodial wallet. Ondo offers direct mint and redemption with the issuer across three chains. Dinari ties each verified wallet to a regulated brokerage and custody stack.

Every cell was checked against first-party documentation, governing terms or regulator material on 2026-10-20, never on a directory listing or another comparison. Fensory publishes this page; its role is disclosed in the method.

What they share

None of the three token is the underlying share in the ordinary brokerage sense. Each issuer defines the holder’s rights, backing, transfer rules and redemption path.

A wallet address does not erase investor eligibility. Ondo and xStocks restrictions attach to the programme, while Dinari enforces verification at the contract where required.

The app used to buy a token does not necessarily determine the issuer. A Kraken, Bybit or wallet route can still lead to the same xStocks instrument from Backed.

Where each one is stronger

Specific rather than generous. A comparison that cannot name what the other product does better has not understood it.

  • Ondo Global Markets, direct

Ondo has the clearest direct relationship with the issuer. Eligible users connect a wallet, mint from the issuer and can redeem back through the same programme. Six named products have a 24/7 path, while the broader primary window runs through the trading week. That direct redemption is more important than a long exchange list when exit certainty is the priority.

  • xStocks in your own wallet

xStocks has the largest published catalogue and chain coverage of the three issuers compared here. The same Backed-issued tokens can be acquired through named distributors and moved to supported wallets, and the issuer names on-chain integrations for holders who want to use the position after purchase.

  • Dinari dShares

Dinari has the clearest US-facing regulated structure. Acquisitions run through Dinari Securities, which its own page describes as an SEC-registered FINRA-member broker-dealer, while underlying shares sit with a registered broker-dealer custodian. Contract-level verification makes the compliance boundary explicit.

What connecting actually involves

  • Ondo Global Markets, direct

Use the issuer application, complete eligibility checks and connect a wallet. The direct relationship makes mint and redemption legible, but the catalogue is smaller and the chain footprint narrower than xStocks. The programme excludes US persons.

  • xStocks in your own wallet

Acquire an xStock through a named distributor and withdraw it to a supported wallet where the venue permits. The issuer lists 11 chains and several on-chain uses. Availability excludes the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia as well as sanctioned jurisdictions.

  • Dinari dShares

Complete KYC or KYB for the wallet and use the Dinari brokerage and clearing stack. The verified wallet can hold the token while the shares behind it remain with the named custodian. Product coverage is described as hundreds rather than a current exact total.

Which one is for you

  • You want direct mint and redemption with the issuer

Ondo Global Markets, if you are an eligible non-US person in a supported jurisdiction.

  • You want the widest published issuer range and chain footprint

xStocks. Its current published range and network list are larger than Ondo’s.

  • You need a US-facing broker-dealer structure

Dinari. Verify your jurisdiction and product eligibility rather than assuming every dShare is available everywhere.

  • You want the easiest app rather than a particular issuer

Start with the issuer facts, then compare distributor fees, withdrawal support and interface. The app does not change what the token legally represents.

Questions people ask

Are Ondo, xStocks and Dinari tokens real shares?
They are tokenized instruments tied to underlying shares or a brokerage structure. They are not the same legal object as holding the underlying registered share in an ordinary brokerage account.
Which issuer has the most tokenized stocks?
xStocks publishes 1,353 stocks and ETFs. Ondo publishes more than 450. Dinari says hundreds and does not publish a current total on the source page used here.
Can US users buy these products?
Ondo Global Markets and xStocks exclude US persons. Dinari uses a US-facing broker-dealer structure and also serves eligible users in other jurisdictions, subject to verification and product rules.
Can I move the token to my own wallet?
xStocks supports self-custodial wallets on named chains. Ondo tokens are transferable onchain for eligible holders. Dinari wallets must clear verification and the underlying shares remain with the regulated custody stack.
Where does Fensory fit?
Fensory’s app is an access and comparison layer for supported issuer tokens. It does not mint the token, hold the underlying share or replace the issuer’s eligibility and redemption terms.

How this was put together

Every row is pulled from the issuer-first R6 roundup rather than copied from the old blog post. Changing an issuer fact in the source roundup changes this page at the same time.

Coverage and chain figures are the values published by the issuer sources checked on 20 October 2026. They are shown to explain product architecture, not to imply that every named token is present in the Fensory app.

The page distinguishes a token in the user’s wallet from the underlying share held by an issuer, custodian or broker-dealer. It does not use wallet possession as shorthand for direct share ownership.

Fensory publishes the comparison but is not a row because it is not an issuer. The page links back to the access-layer roundup where distributor and app choices belong.
