Connect ChatGPT to Fensory
ChatGPT connects to Fensory as a custom remote MCP app. Full MCP write actions are currently available in beta for ChatGPT Business, Enterprise and Edu workspaces. ChatGPT Pro can connect custom MCP apps with read and fetch permissions, which is not enough to place a trade.
Use a regular ChatGPT conversation with the Fensory app selected. OpenAI states that agent mode does not use custom apps and deep research uses them only for read and fetch actions. Fensory is not available to US persons.
What you need
ChatGPT Business, Enterprise or Edu for trading actions. ChatGPT Pro supports read and fetch only in developer mode.
Connect ChatGPT
Use the remote Fensory server and complete OAuth with the account you want the assistant to reach.

Confirm the workspace supports full MCP
For trading actions, use a Business, Enterprise or Edu workspace with full MCP enabled. Pro developer mode can connect read and fetch tools but does not currently enable the write actions required for order placement.

Add Fensory as a custom app
In Settings, open Apps, then Advanced settings, and enable developer mode. Create a Fensory app with https://mcp.fensory.com/mcp. Business, Enterprise and Edu workspace admins may control app creation and publication.

Complete OAuth and test the draft
Sign in to the Fensory account that should be connected. Test read tools first and review the permissions before the app is published to other workspace members.

Select Fensory for the message
In a regular chat, choose Fensory from the tools menu or mention the app in the prompt. App selection applies to the message that needs a fresh tool call.

What to know about ChatGPT
Plan level changes what the page can do
A Pro connection is read and fetch only. Business, Enterprise and Edu currently receive full MCP write actions in beta. Do not infer trading access from a successful read-only connection.
Agent mode does not use custom apps
OpenAI documents that agent mode will not use custom apps. Use a regular conversation with Fensory selected when you need the MCP tools.
Deep research is read only
Deep research can use a custom app for read and fetch actions, not write actions. It can inspect information but should not be treated as a trading path.
