EigenLayer AVS Staking

Earn additional yield by restaking ETH to secure Actively Validated Services.

Typical APY Range4% - 15%

What is EigenLayer AVS Staking?

EigenLayer enables "restaking". Using staked ETH to secure additional protocols called Actively Validated Services (AVSs). Restakers earn yields from multiple sources: base staking + AVS rewards.

How It Works

  1. Deposit ETH or LSTs into EigenLayer
  2. Delegate to operators running AVS software
  3. Operators validate AVSs on your behalf
  4. Earn rewards from participating AVSs

Yield Sources

  • Base Staking: ~3.5% from ETH staking (via LST)
  • AVS Rewards: Variable, depends on AVS demand
  • Points/Airdrops: EigenLayer and AVS points

Risk Considerations

Slashing: AVS misbehavior can slash restaked ETH Operator Risk: Choosing reliable operators matters Complexity: Multiple layers of smart contracts

Explore restaking with Fensory.

How to Get Started

  1. 1Acquire eligible LSTs or native ETH
  2. 2Deposit into EigenLayer
  3. 3Research and select operators
  4. 4Delegate to chosen operators
  5. 5Monitor AVS participation
  6. 6Claim rewards when available

Pros

  • Additional yield on staked ETH
  • Contribute to new protocol security
  • Points for potential airdrops

Cons

  • Slashing risk from AVS
  • Operator dependencies
  • 7-day withdrawal delay
