What is rETH on Polygon?
Rocket Pool ETH (rETH) on Polygon is the bridged version of the Rocket Pool liquid staking token operating on the Polygon PoS network. It provides access to Rocket Pool's decentralized ETH staking yields within the established Polygon ecosystem.
How It Works
rETH on Polygon maintains the same value-accruing properties as mainnet rETH. The token is bridged from Ethereum, ensuring it represents the same underlying staked ETH position. As Rocket Pool validators earn rewards, the rETH/ETH exchange rate increases across all networks where rETH is available.
Key Features
Polygon Ecosystem: Access Polygon's DeFi protocols including Aave, Uniswap, and QuickSwap while earning ETH staking rewards. Low Transaction Costs: Polygon offers affordable transactions compared to Ethereum mainnet. Established Network: Polygon PoS is one of the most mature and battle-tested L2/sidechain solutions. Decentralized Backing: rETH is backed by Rocket Pool's permissionless node operator network.Risks
Bridge Risk: Cross-chain tokens introduce bridge security dependencies. Network Risk: Polygon PoS has different security assumptions than Ethereum mainnet. Liquidity Risk: Polygon rETH markets may have varying liquidity depths. Protocol Risk: Subject to all underlying Rocket Pool protocol risks.Data Disclaimer
