Fensory vs Interactive Brokers with Claude
Interactive Brokers lets Claude read a brokerage account and generate trade instructions, but a person must open the AI Instructions tab and submit the order. Fensory can execute supported Hyperliquid spot and perpetual-futures orders after the connected client calls the tool, subject to account controls.
IBKR is the broader brokerage and the more restrictive agent. It reaches more than 170 markets and keeps the human on the trigger. Fensory reaches a smaller execution universe and lets the account’s market allow-list, per-order cap, access expiry and kill-switch form the persistent boundary.
Every cell was checked against first-party documentation, governing terms or regulator material on 2026-10-18, never on a directory listing or another comparison. Fensory publishes this page and appears in the table.

Where it is stronger
Specific rather than generous. A comparison that cannot name what the other product does better has not understood it.
Interactive Brokers AI Integration
Interactive Brokers is stronger for a reader who needs a mature multi-country brokerage, real equities and ETFs, a paper account and a hard human approval boundary. The integration reads positions, orders, history, margin and market data without sharing an API key with Claude. It then places the generated instruction in a dedicated broker tab. No agent call can silently turn that instruction into a live order.
What connecting actually involves
Interactive Brokers AI Integration
Connect one IBKR account to Claude through the certified connector and broker sign-in. Claude can inspect the account and generate a single-leg market or limit instruction for an equity or ETF. The instruction waits inside IBKR until the user reviews it and submits it as an order. The same account can be a paper account, which is the cleanest test path in this comparison.
Fensory
Connect the hosted MCP server through OAuth and configure the account controls before exposing a write workflow. The assistant reads the instrument, account state and open orders, then prepares the exact action. If the client calls the write tool and the account permits it, the order reaches the supported venue without a separate broker tab.
Where Fensory differs
Fensory is an execution product rather than an instruction-drafting layer. Supported order tools can act after the client calls them, provided the market, order value, access window and global agentic-trading state permit the action. A client confirmation prompt remains guidance, not a replacement for those controls.
IBKR’s breadth is conventional brokerage breadth. Fensory’s MCP path is Hyperliquid spot and perpetual futures, including some stock-named and commodity-named derivatives. Tokenized equities and treasuries shown in the Fensory app are not part of the current MCP execution claim.
The control tradeoff is direct. IBKR prevents unattended execution by withholding submission authority. Fensory allows execution within a smaller configured boundary. The right answer depends on whether the workflow needs automation or a mandatory human trigger.
Which one is for you
You want global brokerage reach and real securities
Interactive Brokers. Market breadth and instrument ownership decide this case.
You want every order to require a human broker-side submission
Interactive Brokers. That restriction is the product design, not a prompt convention.
You need an agent to execute supported markets inside persistent limits
Fensory, if you are eligible and the required market exists on its MCP path.
You need a paper account
Interactive Brokers. Fensory does not publish an equivalent simulation environment.
Questions people ask
- Can Claude place an IBKR order by itself?
- No. Claude generates an instruction. The user reviews and submits it from the AI Instructions tab in an IBKR platform.
- What can Claude read from IBKR?
- IBKR documents positions, open orders, trade history, margin information and market data through the integration.
- Does Fensory require approval for every order?
- No account-enforced per-order approval is claimed. Client instructions can ask for confirmation, while account limits independently decide whether a submitted action is allowed.
- Which supports a paper account?
- Interactive Brokers documents paper-account support. Fensory does not publish a paper-trading environment.
- Is the Fensory stock market a brokerage share?
- No. On the MCP path it is a perpetual future. Tokenized equities in the app are a separate instrument and surface.
- Can the IBKR Claude integration submit an order by itself?
- No. IBKR states that the assistant creates an instruction which waits in the AI Instructions tab. A person reviews and converts it into an order. Reading the account and preparing an instruction are separate from submitting a trade.
- Why would someone prefer the IBKR draft-only model?
- It preserves a human decision at the point where an instruction becomes an order while still letting the assistant read a broad brokerage account. That is a valid design choice for someone who values listed-market breadth and human submission more than unattended execution.
How this was put together
IBKR behavior was checked against the broker’s official June 2026 announcement and current AI-integration documentation on 18 October 2026. The human-in-the-middle step is quoted in substance rather than inferred from marketing language.
Product facts are pulled from the non-US agentic-trading roundup so the same geography, custody, execution and limit statements appear in both places. The comparison adds interpretation, not a second facts table.
The page treats drafting and execution as different capabilities. A prepared instruction may be useful and still is not an order until the broker accepts a human submission.
Fensory publishes this page. Interactive Brokers receives the recommendation for market reach, real securities, paper trading and mandatory human submission.
