Fensory vs MetaMask Agent Wallet
MetaMask Agent Wallet is a programmable self-custodial wallet with delegated permissions and daily spending policies. Fensory is a trading account and MCP server whose current execution surface reaches Hyperliquid spot and perpetual futures. One starts from the wallet. The other starts from the market account.
Both keep broad authority away from the model, but they enforce different things. MetaMask policies govern what the delegated wallet may spend or call. Fensory checks the size, market, access window and enabled state of a trading order. A reader should pick the boundary that matches the action the agent actually needs.
Every cell was checked against first-party documentation, governing terms or regulator material on 2026-10-18, never on a directory listing or another comparison. Fensory publishes this page and appears in the table.
Side by side
| Product | Who holds the funds | What stops a bad order | What it trades | Where you can open it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MetaMask Agent WalletProgrammable self-custodial wallet with delegated policy | You. Self-custodial | Protocol allow-list, daily spend limits, two-factor approval outside policy with a five-minute auto-decline | Swaps, perpetual futures, prediction markets, staking, across Hyperliquid, EVM chains and Solana | Not stated |
| FensoryOursHosted trading account and market execution layer | You. Tokens settle to a wallet you control, perp margin sits at the venue | a kill-switch, an access expiry, a market allow-list and a per-order cap, all enforced on the account. An order above the cap is rejected rather than trimmed | MCP: Hyperliquid spot and perpetual futures. App: tokenized US equities and treasuries, and gold | Not available to US persons. Every row uses the same custody, control, asset and geography fields so the comparison stays aligned.
What you are choosing
The operating trade-off in concrete terms, from first setup to the markets the agent can reach.
| Decision | MetaMask Agent Wallet | Fensory |
|---|---|---|
| Core object | Agent wallet | Trading account |
| Policy target | Wallet spend and permitted calls | Order size, market access, expiry and trading state |
| Market execution | Through connected protocols and tools | Through the hosted Fensory MCP market surface |
| Tokenized asset app | No Fensory-style catalogue | Separate app surface for supported tokenized products |
What they share
Both products separate the agent from unrestricted signing authority. MetaMask does it through a delegated smart account with policies. Fensory does it through a hosted account connection and trading controls. In both cases, the agent acts through a narrower permission path than the owner’s broadest wallet authority.
Neither design makes the connected workflow safe by itself. The operator still needs a defined purpose, fresh market data, tested failure handling and limited funding. A wallet-spend policy cannot validate an order book, while a trading-account limit cannot govern unrelated contract calls.
Both also depend on services outside the model. MetaMask relies on the selected protocols and tools for market execution. Fensory relies on the current venue and product integrations. Their security boundaries are different, but neither should be described as a prompt-only control.
Where it is stronger
Specific rather than generous. A comparison that cannot name what the other product does better has not understood it.
MetaMask Agent Wallet
MetaMask is stronger when the agent needs a general on-chain wallet rather than one trading venue. Its delegated-account model can cover transfers and contract interactions beyond the markets Fensory exposes, and its daily spending policy addresses cumulative wallet spend rather than only the size of one order.
What connecting actually involves
MetaMask Agent Wallet
Create a delegated agent account, define the wallet permissions and connect the protocols or tools the agent will use. The wallet is the policy and signing layer. Market discovery, quote quality and order semantics come from the connected service rather than from the wallet itself.
Fensory
Connect one hosted MCP endpoint, complete OAuth and set the account controls in the app. The market and order tools arrive together. Tokenized products visible in the app remain separate from the Hyperliquid MCP execution path.
Where Fensory differs
Fensory packages market discovery, account reads and order execution behind one remote MCP endpoint. The user configures trading-specific controls in the app rather than building protocol routes and wallet policies around each action.
MetaMask’s daily policy and Fensory’s per-order cap are not substitutes. A daily policy bounds aggregate wallet spend. A per-order cap bounds one submitted order. A serious workflow may need both kinds of control at different layers.
Fensory is unavailable to US persons. MetaMask does not publish an agent-wallet country list in the source used by the shared roundup, while each connected protocol or venue may impose its own restrictions.
Which one is for you
Your agent needs a general wallet for transfers and contract calls
MetaMask Agent Wallet. It is designed as a programmable wallet boundary.
Your main requirement is a packaged market and order surface
Fensory, if you are eligible and its current market scope fits the workflow.
You need a daily spending policy
MetaMask documents that policy shape. Fensory’s current published cap applies per order rather than per day.
You do not want to assemble wallet, market-data and execution services
Fensory is the shorter setup because those market tools are part of the hosted product.
Questions people ask
- Is MetaMask Agent Wallet a trading platform?
- It is primarily a programmable wallet and policy layer. It can enable trading through connected protocols and tools, but it does not by itself define one universal market, order book or execution venue.
- Is Fensory a wallet?
- Fensory provides a trading account and app experience with a wallet connection and venue signing path. Its public product is organized around markets and account controls rather than a general-purpose wallet API.
- Which one has the stronger limit?
- They limit different things. MetaMask documents daily wallet-spend policy. Fensory documents a cap on each order plus a market allow-list, access expiry and kill-switch. Compare the failure you need to contain.
- Can I use a wallet policy and a trading-account limit together?
- Yes, when the integration supports both layers. A wallet policy can bound signing authority while an account or venue rule validates the order. This page does not claim a current direct MetaMask-to-Fensory integration.
How this was put together
Both products were checked against their current first-party documentation on 18 October 2026. The comparison uses the same custody, control, asset and geography fields for each product.
The comparison distinguishes wallet policy from trading-account policy instead of claiming one is universally safer. Their scopes overlap only where an order ultimately becomes a wallet action.
No direct integration between the two products is claimed. The page compares operating models and documented controls, not a combined setup.
Fensory publishes the page. MetaMask receives the recommendation where a general programmable wallet or daily spending boundary is the deciding requirement.
